Marcia Sherry-Newby, BS, MEd, Principal Auditor
Marcia Sherry-Newby’s quality-related career began when she was in college with a summer quality management position at the Del Monte factory in Oakland, CA in 1986, and continued in the food industry until she entered the pharmaceutical industry in 1992 as a safety officer for Sanofi-Winthrop. During this time she completed her master’s degree in education, as she was considering a career in teaching. Since then, Ms. Sherry-Newby has acquired more than 23 years of experience in the industry. She has performed various clinical research roles, including six years as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA), two years as a CRA manager, and more than 14 years as an auditor. She currently works as a principal auditor for Chiltern International, which recently merged with Covance, Inc.
Ms. Sherry-Newby has experience in all therapeutic areas and all trial phases, with extensive auditing experience with Oncology and hospital trials. She has conducted audits all over the world, including China, South Korea, and Israel, and numerous countries in Latin America.
Ms. Sherry-Newby earned a BS degree in Biochemistry from the University of California in Davis, California and a Masters in Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
